I use as raw materials the front pages of the newspapers El Tiempo, El Espectador and Voz. I destroy the newspapers in a paper shredder and reorganize them in small fragments in primary and secondary colors and hues of gray. Then I paste them on paper creating the appearance of a painting or statistical infographics. In this project I found links between color and ideology, and the result is a visual language that speaks of the structures and dynamics of the mass media. These works are paintings that, in addition to reflecting a different level of political discourse, are made of a perishable material that is discarded very quickly, becomes scarce, and then turns into an object of art.
